Your Move Games

Two founders, one owner, and one amazing community.

Your Move Games was founded in 2004 by Robert Dougherty and Chad Ellis.  The two adventurers had become friends at Robert's FLGS where Chad was terrible at Magic.  When they realized they each shared the dream of publishing their own games, joining forces was an obvious choice.

Since then many things have changed.  Both founders got married and had kids, and Robert eventually left to focus on some of his own projects; he is currently Chief Operating Officer for Gary Games, makers of Ascension and SolForge.  Chad continues to run YMG, but relies heavily on the company's community of gamers.



That's not just talk, either.  Kingdoms, the Dark Elves, the upcoming Wuxing, Greece and Persia releases for Battleground were all designed and developed by players.  Our Battleground championship is organized and judged by one of our players.  (He even puts up the prizes!) The Battleground rules are tested and tweaked by players who constantly strive to make it better and better.  Look at our Coming Soon page and for as long as we're still in business you'll see products designed, developed or tested by our community.  They're why Chad's still doing this.



Well, that and the wealth, power, and fame.
