The Battle for Hill 218

The Battle for Hill 218 is a tactical card game for two players that takes about ten minutes to play, but has a lot of depth. But don't take our word for it.  Our good friend Andrew Gross created an online version of the game that you can download and play for free here.  Then you can go buy the app for your iPad or iPhone!

You begin with Hill 218 in play and two face-up air strikes. One side of the Hill is your home base; the other is your opponent's.  You win the game by occupying both bases; if neither player manages this, the player with the most units remaining when all units and air strikes have been played wins.

Hill 218 is easy to learn but takes -- well, not a lifetime, but years to master.  You'll probably start out getting crushed by the AI, and when you start to win come find Chad and challenge him through the game center.  He's writing this in the third person, so you know he's ready to fight you!

The Darling Dork reviews Hill 218 and explains why his copy is so thoroughly worn out!
